Brighten Your Night – A Witch’s Hat Luminary Carving Event!

Gather ’round for a bewitching time carving your very own ceramic witch hat luminary!

These luminaries are great to decorate for Halloween or to make a custom gift. They will comfortably fit a tealight so you can illuminate your space!

One ticket reserves one (1) hat. Please purchase multiple tickets if you’d like more than 1 hat.

You will be carving out the holes for your light to shine through your piece. Your hats can be carved however you like — make holes, shallow carve designs, and sign your name or write a message! The Drawing Board has stencils and tools for you to use and get creative!

The Drawing Board will make your witch hat before you arrive — choose between a straight-tipped hat or a curve-tipped hat for carving.
You can also choose between a 2-visit creating session or a 1-visit creating session, depending on how you’d like to paint your piece:

• 2-visit creating session. Recommended. Carve your hat, leave it with TDBA for firing, return approx. 7 days later to paint with glaze. Leave at TDBA for second-firing then pick up. Allows for more color options and color is less streaky and more vibrant, but more return-trips.
• 1-visit creating sesson. Carve your hat and paint the same night (must be finished by 8:30). Return approx 9 days later to pick up. You’ll have less color options and color tends to be streaky, but less return-trips.
