Join TDBA and Kids Capes of Courage to make capes!
This is a free charity event where volunteers will help create capes for children to be used in hospitals, therapy centers, schools, and with families.
There will be stations to cut fabric and help assemble capes — no experience needed! Stop by any time and stay as long as you like! No pressure to stay the whole time or come on time!
Take a look at the Kids Capes of Courage website for more info, but here’s a little more:
“When children are sick, have to spend time in the hospital, or suffer with disabilities, our hope is that a Kids Cape of Courage will make a scary situation a little less so. As parents, grandparents, and aunts & uncles, we at Kids Capes of Courage understand the difficulties faced by children who experience physical and emotional challenges. These kids are the real super heroes of the world! Our capes are designed to comfort and empower children during challenging times.”
Kids Capes of Courage is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization and accepts donations, which are fully tax deductible.
