Pottery Wheel Art Class for Kids Ages 9-12* – 3 weeks Thursdays, Start July 11

Classes are on the following dates: July 11, 18, 25, 5-6pm all dates.

This class is for ages 9-12. *All children must be able to reach the foot pedal.

This Pottery Wheel Art Class is a 3 week class that features learning all aspects of throwing pottery on the potter’s wheel!

If your child does well in very small groups and doesn’t mind their hands dirty, and loves to express themselves creatively, this is the class for your child.

Our Pottery classes are step-by-step, led by an instructor the entire time.

Learn how to make bowls, cups, plates, and how to create handles and attach them to make mugs. — A complete dish set!

The class size is small (up to 4 students) so we can go through the class at your pace and give you 1 on 1 attention.

You won’t need to bring or buy anything for class – your ticket includes all the tools, apron, and clay you’ll need. 3 pieces are included (1 per session). Additional pieces can be purchased.

Clear glaze is included for a beautiful natural clay finish. Your child can also glaze their own pieces for a small glaze fee.

All glazed pottery will be food safe, waterproof, and dishwasher safe (top rack)!

We encourage you to come into the studio to check it out. We look forward to creating with you!

Due to the nature of the class, we cannot offer make-ups or refunds for missed sessions.

Any pottery left at the studio must be picked up within 30 days of texted ready notice; after 30 days TDBA reserves the right to donate, repurpose, sell, or remove the piece

This camp is qualified for Ohio ACE funding.

** REQUIREMENTS:

• Closed-toed shoes.
• No chewing gum.
• No jewelry on hands or wrists, and no dangling necklaces.
• Long hair must be secured.
• Student must be able to reach foot pedal while sitting.
• On the 1st day of class we will get emergency contact info, including the name of the person picking up the child.
