The Artist:

Many of my pieces are acrylic and oil paintings with some pieces having collaged elements to them. I have been making art since middle school, so about 6 years. I started painting and drawing and just felt that I loved it and so I went with that and kept going with my art journey throughout high school. I took art classes all throughout high school and AP art for my junior and senior year where I had my concentration being what my idea of futurism was. My Junior year I did a more wide-scale Idea of what the future holds and what problems were happening at the time. For example, one of my pieces was a shark trying to catch a fish to eat, but the plastic in the ocean was disrupting that. For my senior year I transitioned this idea into more of a personal one by making pieces that represented me and how my life will look in the future. I made more self portraits of my mom and I as she is similar to me in many aspects. During my junior year of high school I entered work into the scholastics art show and got a silver key for my one printmaking collage of a self portrait, and an honorable mention for my first oil painting I had ever done. From there I had my senior art show a year later and now am in college for Studio art with a concentration in painting. I just finished my first year and am going back in the fall. I enjoyed my first year of college as I got to create some three dimensional pieces too in my 3d composition class and I got to make drawings on a larger scale.
