Classes are on the following dates: January 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th 5:30-7:30pm all dates.
This class runs on Tuesdays for 4 consecutive weeks. This class is for Adults.
Have you worked on the pottery wheel and want to further your basic skills? Have you taken a multi-session class with us or another studio and want more time to hone your skills with an instructor? Our Intermediate class is for you!
Our Pottery classes are step-by-step, and led by an instructor. For the Intermediate class, you should understand centering and pulling walls. The class will focus on having better control of the clay and making larger pieces (2lbs). You’ll learn how to make tall pieces, pitchers and vases, collaring and shaping, trimming, large wide bowls and plates and attachments like handles, all while forming your own aesthetic sense. This class will help you advance your beginner skills.
Since the classes are small, no more than 4 people, we can go through the class at your pace and give you 1 on 1 attention.
You won’t need to bring or buy anything for class – your ticket includes all the tools and clay you’ll need, and 4 fired pieces up to 2 pounds each to keep (you can purchase more pieces to keep if you’d like to keep more).
** We will glaze your pieces to a beautiful natural clay finish.
Ask us about other painting options!
All glazed pottery will be food safe, waterproof, and dishwasher safe (top rack)!
Call or text 440-879-8033 with questions or come into the studio to check it out! We look forward to creating with you!
Due to the nature of the class, we cannot offer make-ups or refunds for missed sessions. Please talk to your instructor about scheduling a self-guided practice session.
Any pottery left at the studio must be picked up within 30 days of texted ready notice; after 30 days TDBA reserves the right to donate, repurpose, sell, or remove the piece.
(Please call or come into the store if you would like to purchase your ticket with a gift card! 440-879-8033)
