6-Week Pottery Wheel Beginner 1 Class – Wednesdays – Class Starts!

A 6-week class, meeting every Wednesday from 5:30pm-7:30pm for 6 consecutive weeks, beginning on November 2. Learn the fundamentals of throwing clay on the potter’s wheel!

Have you seen those satisfying pottery videos on Tiktok or YouTube? Do you have a need to do something just for you? Tried it once in school, and want to get back into it? Or, have you never tried it at all but want to?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this class is for you!

This class is designed to give you a chance to make pottery on the wheel in a step-by-step fashion, while taking advantage of the natural healing properties of clay!

If you’ve never tried it before or haven’t been on the wheel since High School or college, you’re in the right spot — this is a beginner class, and will show you the fundamentals step-by-step. Since the classes are small, no more than 4 people, we can go through the class at your pace and give each student one-on-one attention. Each week we try to make something different, so you get a chance to make a bowl, a cup with pulled handles, a plate, and a cylinder.

We’re flexible with scheduling – just let us know if something comes up, or if you’d like to schedule specific dates and times, or need to switch one of your sessions!

Includes Clay, clay tools and an apron to use at the studio, and a dedicated space for your pieces to dry. Includes 6 finished 1lb pieces to be fired and glazed. If you have more than 6 pieces that you like to fire and glaze, we charge an additional price per piece.
