This 2 hour wheel throwing class is for all ages starting at 12+ and over. All materials are provided including your clay, the tools you need, aprons and glazes. Class inlcudes up to 2 of your finished pieces to glaze. In a single class you will learn basic wheel throwing techniques. Cost is $50 per person. Wheel throwing is like learning to play an instrument. The more you do it the better you get. Taking additional classes will help you achieve the art of wheel throwing. Skills include, centering, trimming, pulling walls, shaping, and different decorating techniques. All these skills developed over time. We meet each person where they are in skill level.
To master the art of wheel throwing, we recommend booking 2 (2 hour) wheel throwing classes, then booking the 1 hour private instructor session as needed after that, or reserving a wheel on your own to help you practice your skills.
Be sure to take where clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy. We fire the pieces you make in the class, and they transform from clay to a hard Bisqueware. You can come back at a later time and glaze your pieces, or we can glaze them for you with your requested design and colors.
